Yes I had a look this morning aswell.
I had a couple of diffs pegged by them, and this newsletter came with the invoice, says 4.0/4.6 gems short engines complete block, crank rods, pistons, cam and chain £1600+vat outright.
It is a good price.
I remeber a company called powertrain products doing similar but havent seen them advertising for a while now.
Alex.

go for a 3.9 block , many out there. rebore cannot be 100% as the block can crack. its also cheaper than a rebore

My Top hat liners were installed by a company called AMAC at Northallerton N Yorks, if you want any additional info pm me
I used this company after they sorted out a 4.6 engine for a friend of mine, supplied by a V8 engine specialist after a one of the newly installed top hat line slipped, was considering buying a 4.6 short engine with top hat liners from the same specialist. I them decided to use AMAC after discussing the std of workmanship of the "specialist" block (he also found an error in the block decking which needed to be corrected
Won't name names as it could well have been a one off.
I was well impressed with the machining and the finish, they also left the liners standind 3 thou proud to ensure a better seal, as "that was what they did with Lotus BDA's"
As we all know Quality workmanship takes time
They are currently boring and dynamically balancing my Vauxhall Nova 1.3 engine for one of my other toys, see your cars!

"a V8 engine specialist after a one of the newly installed top hat line slipped"
Hi Royston, was that perchance the same company that produced 3 engine blocks that I've had to strip and have re-machined to sort out liner-slippage issues?
"Won't name names as it could well have been a one off"
Not if it's the company I'm thinking of, now ceased trading!

Hi all.
I think it would be beneficial to all members if there was an area we could report to if we recieve poor workmanship. Not naming companies just lets the cowboys keep ripping people off as no one knows who they are.

It's difficult to name names, don't want to get into lawsuit's/liable, etc

can cause alot of problems as Tony has mentioned
The info above was from a friend and therefore not my own experience, but you can see who I recommend
