th400 is the same bolt pattern. Not sure about the other. Perry Stephenson (mgbv8) is the guy to talk to about chevy boxes.

I hope to have a TH400 in my MGB when ive finished playing with my lt77.
It'd be nice to throw the rover V8 away too and pop an LS1 in there too!

If the other two fit the TH700r4 should fit, which is a 4 speed automatic where the others are 3 speed.

In that case does the Chevy V8 flywheel fit the rover.

two reasons I know have Rover V8 with Lt77 box and have a Chevy 5 litre V8 ( minus flywheel) but have a 700r4 box. But would love to make the Chevy manual, bit of mix and match may happen if anyone can enlighten me if they fit each other.

Or two manual V8's, sound interesting.

Sorry for butting in on your thread but though the two topics are very similiar.

When I fitted my TH350 I bought the adaptor kit from D&D fabrications.
The kit consists of an aircraft grade ally adaptor plate to mate the Chevy box to the Rover, a modified Rover flex plate with ring gear to take a Chevy torque converter, a new pilot bush to fit in the crank spigot so the converter lines up ok, and all the bolts required to fit the adaptor plate to the block.

The kit was about 200 quid from D&D. And it was well worth the money. I had the TH350 and convertor on the floor in the garage. The kit arrived, and the whole lot was bolted on and ready for action in an hour. As much as I love fettling, this was too much of a timesaver for me to ignore. The Chevy TH400 will bolt straight on to the same plate, and its pretty much the same size as the 350 give or take a 1/4". I wish I had bought the 400 now because the 350 is not suitable for a transbrake kit.

If you need any info on fitting yank boxes the the Buick/Rover engine a call to Mark at D&D will be worth it.

Thanks for the info.

Going to contact Mark at D & D to see what he thinks.

What do you think of the idea of 5 Chevy engine with a Lt77 box as manual boxes for Chevys are rare than hens teeth, or so I have been told.

And I do have 2 LT77 boxes, a four speed rover box, a good 700r4 that I planned to fit to the camaro with the new engine and I also have a bust 700r4 with v6 bellhousing (works good in bottom three gears but no overdrive). But the idea of a manual Camaro is very interesting.

LT77 behind a chevy engine is a bad idea, they break often enough behind a rover engine which has a lot less torque

Going to just stick with the auto box.

Just a pipe dream of having a manual Camaro on a small budget
