Dual planes can be split various ways, they arent all the same.
And with all of them it's about increasing gas velocity which helps a carb work, helps fuel atomisation, but with any intake it helps swirl and turbulence in the chamber.
So it can be worth having with any intake provided it doesnt also pose a restriction.
No different that many modern cars having intakes with throttle mechanisms in them to open/close half the runners under low rpm/loads. It's to maintain higher air speed in the ports

Yeh, I guess if you make it smaller, the low vacume produces more of a presure because it has less area to presurise... its restriction though at the same time, when you start to draw more air...
This is really interesting stuff, but its not half hard to get your head around, I like it, its a challenge.
Its a question of either having something move... or having a compromise...
on the other side of things the Bang/blow side... I have seen exhaust systems on ferraris have valves inside the exhaust that open up when the revs get higher, odv at first to create back presure, then to remove the restriction as exhaust gases build up

It has nothing to do with creating more pressure or less pressure. Intakes are purely about maintaining air velocity.
As for exhausts, you never want backpressure, people who say that are talking through their arse.
Any valves in the exhaust will again be to promote high gas velocities or for noise suppression.
