Whoops, sorry - stirred up another one of 'those' discussions. I opened up the debate of EFI vs. carbs once and ....on no, I've don't it again.

Thanks for the advice. When I did the trial fit (you know rip open the packet and start playing with it without reading the instructions) I forgot to add the 2nd gasket -makes a big difference...

Hi Tim
Please don't feel you have stired up anything! ! ! it is just easy to feel a bit out numbered on this forum at times and as a Chevy boy I feel it necessary to stand up for my engine brand at times. Oh and people with 3 wheels on their race car just can't count  .
Best regards
Mike

LOL! Agreed, it should be two wheels or four. Two wheels is so much more fun than four, but you can't beat the looks of a 4 wheel monster. I have the former, and am building the latter.... yeah I know not with an RV8 3.5...;-)

Ah sod off, the lot of ya! Anyway my outfit spent more time on two wheels than three!

Actually you may be interested to know that an F1 outfit can get round Brands Hatch Indy circuit with a quicker lap time than a F3 racing car, and that's with two people on board with a 1000 cc lump to power it.

I'll get me hat....

Hi
I know how fast the things are, (until the one lying on the engine dumps the one on the platform into the grass) used to spend happy Sundays at at Donington and Thruxston watching F2 side cars go round in circles, even watched a few F1 outfits go up the hill at Goodwood, doesn't get round the fact that you are all stark stairing bonkers !.
Best regards

Bonkers... I take that as a complement!

Actually I don’t race anymore, to do it properly was way above what my finances could support, in my last year I did do the same championship as the then world champ (Tim Reeves), that just about finished me off! (and pissed me off!)

Anyway, talking of bonkers, let’s not forget what you and Gelmonkey are up to!
