yup,
took her out in the rain today, spent more time going sideways than forwards
BUT she broke down again while in the middle of the hardest rain strom,
she decided to chuck all the water out and boil over  .
have changed the stat now and had her running in the garage for 15mins no probs, fans on and off and temp goes to 1/2-3/4 while stationary.

Cheers M,
still got a few idle gremlins, but i think thats down to a couple of suspect terminals in one of the plugs,
im going to order a new ecu plug set of terminals and replace the whole lot to be safe,
otherwise, its very enjoyable and im £30 lighter in fuel :nutz

at last got to my first show of the year, car got a bit of attention until the heavens opened up.
car ran good although lumpy due to the map needing setting up again,
has a slight miss when you accelerate hard, and when on light throttle kangaroo's around,
the new throttle shafts work a treat, allthough they are sticking slightly holding the throttle open a fraction, this maybe down to needing to adjust the throttle plates a bit more in the plenum throat a fraction,
otherwise man she pulls real strong 1st-3rd had to play the throttle a lot on roundabouts or overtaking otherwise the rear end keeps trying to come round,
was it worth the hassle?
ask me in a months time 8)

got the car running on the kpa settings of ecu tonight,
and it is not now running rich either,
went for a quick drive to set up the ve table a bit better and ended up going for 1.5hrs and 60 miles
is nice being able to srive her again, and have changed the throttle enrichment,
have lowered the amount that is injected at the set points, as she was bogging at WOT goes better now, still room for more mapping and adjustment though,
bloody handy with the AF/EGT gauge all working now too.

if she cold starts in the morning  im going to take her to work for a run.

she flew through the MOT this morning with 3 advisories, (first time in 3 years had an advisory on her)
front and rear discs worn (yup due to the heavy braking now needed  )
front brake slight imbalance, (no probs as new brake kit going on soon)
otherwise emissions were well below limit, and the main shell is solid.
and every thinf else is good,
that is a weight off of my mind, 8)
