BUT her first fire up today with the procharger fitted etc,
God its noisy compared to the old rotrex charger
Yes, mine is quite noisy at idle - when you give it the beans though it sounds amazing.
Tom.

bit more done while lockdown is going on,
the abs pump is all done and working and the brakes are mental,
most of the pipework is done now and the boost solenoid/valve is awaiting welding,
New catch can and new breather which was made by Ged on this very forum,

ALSO,
we are now playing around with water injection on the engine
Injector boss made on the lathe and recessed to fit boost hose,
Bracket made to mount the water solenoid to the inner wing,
Water tank mounted in the boot,
Pump also now mounted under the boot floor panel,
Boot floor back in hiding the pump and electrics,
Even the parcel shelf still fits,
And a system and leak test,

New idle control set up fitted today.
This will now do away with the stepper motor.

Dual colour led for the water injection.
Green when powered up. By the ecu and pump is running.
Changes to Red if the water level gets to low and turns the pump relay off if the ecu tries to activate it

What's the idea behind the boost valve?
Is it just an electronic dump valve, so when you close the throttle it opens to dump the pressure to save it going back through the supercharger?
or is it actually limiting the max boost pressure? so you can map boost pressure to a certain extent.

we are running the charger near max which is too much boost for what we want at present so it bleeds the excess boost off mate
few taps on the laptop in the ecu settings means we can run more or less boost as and when we want instead of changing pulleys
