IIRC it was on the Northampton MotorSport rollers during one of their car clinic features.

Must be awkward to have announced 300BHP all over the front page of mag and within at every opportunity - then only find 289BHP after a good session being set up on a RR

Wait till I see Will Hollman again, my little RV8 makes more power than his SBF, but down a little on torque, but my car, im guessing was set up on the same rollers, Dave Walkers?? so they should not be that far different, I wonder if he is brave enough to go to the CF show this weekend, If he was brave enough to put it on the strip, Boy, would I like to pick on him, especially as he had my Mexico arches for his Capri,

I have to say guys, i think the article was downbeat about the rv8 but then again the rv8 has a huge following and no damage has been done, my car was near enough the lowest performer (escort) and would loved a bit of bragging rights but i'm more than happy with just getting my car in a mag!.....this will now sound a bit odd but if your car was in this article could you please pm me!
Doing nothing is more than enough!

Hello Steve,

All the figures were estimated/calculated at the flywheel - there is a copy of the RR printout for my car in that section of this forum.

I like the variety of cars featured in PPC, they featured my Capri a few years ago. Will & Kev clearly have a thing for V8s.

But i think the magazine as a whole has lost it's way a bit recently by trying to emulate Top Gear in their articles.

Real enthusiasts need hard facts, like printing the fact the the TVR on the dyno shootout only had 7:1CR being built for F/I. Unfortunately they seem to gloss over a lot of facts to make the journalistic banter of the articles sound more lively.

Agreed, I'm quite new to the mag, quite often have a thumb thru after the Newdie mags when on the skive. They did answer a question I emailed to them in the mag which was good of them
