Hello,
I have an issue every half a year that may LPG tank multivalve fails.
A coil is 12V 11W and when operating it gets very hot to touch.
Since a few days ago happend again and I replaced it with a new one, I put the old one on the bench to test.
It still works but here are some pictures of the results.
What are your thoughts?

Re: Multivalve coil
And are you sure it's supposed to operate at 12v, and not maybe reduced down ?
That seems an extreme temperature to be running at, no way can it be normal.

Re: Multivalve coil
I wonder if it uses the rest of the valve as a heat sink...? Or is supposed to.

I had a thaught perhaps it is expected to be running a fluid and that the fluid will draw and move the heat away
