introduction

Post by mike-b »

Hi everyone, a few years ago I fitted a Rover V8 into a 1984 Granada Mk2. The brand new engine with its recon heads was giving me nothing but trouble, a smooth tick-over was impossible. the problem was sorted on this site when the engine builder had been named and all worked well later when better quality heads had been obtained. The help I had from persons on this site at the time was outstanding and the car went on to serve me well. She was sold just 14 days ago - for me it was time to move up a little and I bought a real "Gas gobbler" a 1994 R/Rover auto. As I can afford to run it I may as well have a car I always wanted. The previous owner also owned his own garage and the car always had anything it needed when required. I have known the car for the last six years. The owner claiming it was just a "Chelsea tractor" and looked after very well.
The colour is gun metal grey with cream leather seats and all black plastic trim changed to the walnut effect type. The air levelling system was replaced with a standard system and will stay that way. All she needs now is a tow bar/hook fitting. The previous owner had the car for 12 years so he knows it inside out, he will still be servicing and maintaining the car - my spanner days are just about over - Mike.

Nice choice, although the air suspension is a lot better than coils if not a lot more troublesome!
