email notifications are broken

Post by scudderfish »

Currently on a call (52 mins and 36 seconds and counting) with a very nice support person at our hosting company Ionos (annoying ads, good service) about figuring out why we can't send out emails. Hopefully normal service will be resumes shortly.

Bugger, Ionos have buggered things in the name of 'security'. For now, emial notifications will go out, but they will appear to be from a weird email address of sh-717064796@eu.hosting-webspace.io

Woohoo!

Fixed it, emails should now be delivered and they should be from 'forummail@v8forum.co.uk' Now I need to rapidly take a back up of the config changes

Also, can someone please reply to this thread just so that I can check I get an email notification of it please?

Regards,
David
