Cooling system tr7 v8 efi
Hi folks, getting my tr7 to this stage has been a long drawn out process , but getting to the final stages now, hopefully up and running in the next month or two. I know there are plenty of v8 efi tr7's about, I was wondering if anyone has a design or some useful pics they'd be willing to share with me. It's the hotwire efi with megasquirt (intermediate timing cover) if that makes any difference. Thanks!

Re: Cooling system tr7 v8 efi
There are so many custom coolant systems out there - might be best if you post up a few pics of your engine bay/radiator/header tank/heater matrix etc.. - then people can chime in with suggestions?

Tom, yes I will get onto that - not a bad shout. Once I work out how to upload pics I will do so. Cheers

Save the photos to a free photo hosting site - then copy the correct sharing links into your post and the photos appear.
I use Flickr but there are many others.

What thermostat housing are you using?

What do the seals on your cap look like?
Are there only two ports on the header tank, the larger lower one - and the smaller higher one?

This is the heater matrix outlet to go to your heater.
The heater return needs to tee into the bottom hose to go back into the pump inlet.

This is probably your Rad outlet,
What is the lower port - can't see from the photo?

I'm happy to lose heater, as it's a track day car, if this simplifies things.
I like the thermostat cover with temp sensor possibly to connect with electric fan?

Could I simplify the whole thing, top hose to thermostat housing, water pump to bottom rad. Outlet above this to lower outlet on header tank.
Blank off heater outlet, and top outlet from header tank.
No heater, but should work, and should bleed ok?
Or isn't it that easy?
Thanks Andrew
