Okp aka dan

Post by Okp »

Hello, my names dan or OKP
after making the jump to remove myself from social media such as Facebook, I realised I still need an outlet for help, gathering parts etc
So went back in search of forums 👍

I’m currently building this 1923 t bucket
Rover v8 3.5 from an ex MOD defender
Lt77 box
Wade supercharger, Holley carb, Hilborn scoop, axle is I believe from a volvo 940, front axle is an ldv pilot
Wheels up front are 14 inch laced Dunlop’s, I’m looking for some bigger for the rear
Image

This is where it all started, picked up this motor and just decided to make it up as I went with whatever became available
Image
Soon it was looking more presentable

That’s pretty much where it is at the minute

Nice.
Are you going to rebuild the engine? It looks shagged.

“Looks shagged”
Came out a military ambulance, was seen running before removed and stored under a bench for a few years,

I’ll send it back and buy a fresh crate motor

That rover will be a low compression gutless slug - fine to get yourself up and running, but don't waste your money trying to fix/upgrade it - start with something better once you have the funds.

Not an expert on blowers, but isn't it usual to have a lower CR than with NA?

Correct 👍

I’m not building a track car, I’m not looking for poop tons of power ( a wade r034 wouldn’t be first choice for that!)
I have the funds to put a pile of old tat together and build something that I like, not for social media likes. A bit of fun because I can.
