Power steering pump fitting issues

Post by asam_x »

Hi all. I have just had fitted a RV8 from a P5B fitted into my MK2 Triumph 2500. The cross member and anti roll bar had to be removed as the power steering pump is now in the way. When you look from the front of the engine the pump is on your right, NSF. Is it possible to fit the pump nearer to the top, keeping it in line with the pulleys, so I can refit cross member and anti roll bar? If so, what parts are needed? Cheers

Some Range Rover engines had the PAS pump mounted on the front of the NS head so you could look for one of those.

There are millions of combinations of ancillaries. And it's pretty easy to make your own mounts up as well.

Google Images for Rover V8 / Range Rover V8's and see what looks interesting.

Note there are two front covers, one (car) with a low water pump, and one (4x4) with a high water pump.
