Water leaks - Arrrrgh!

Does anybody out there have any tips to get my shiny, new, high tech silicone hoses to stop leaking?
New Samco hoses and Mikalor T-bolt clamps used on my Rover engined race car and it leaks from just about every orifice imaginable!
Short of going back the old faithful rubber hoses what can I do?
Help?

Over tightening - I don't think so.
Originally I tightened moderately and have increased since then to try and stop the weeps and leaks but I'm not not getting much joy.

Waterless engine coolant
That way the system never pressurises and no leaks
But on solicone hoses sorry no I do not use them

Use proper clamps and not those shitty Mikalor brutes

Perry on here recommended it,I've tried it,and it works !
As above,don't use the mikalor ones,I did,and I couldn't get them to seal !

I've just fitted a load of silicone hoses with jubilee clips. No leaks at all. Well, no leaks once I'd got the correct size hoses......
Are you sure there isn't another issue, maybe overpressurised cooling system?

Assuming the hoses are the correct size, the problem will be the mikalor clamps.
They're fine for exhausts etc, not at all suitable for hoses IMO, unless they're huge industrial hoses.
For smaller diameter stuff they're absolutely terrible.

Looks like the Mikalor clamps are destined for the "spares" bin, never to be seen again and old school worm drive clamps are the go.
Once more under the car we go.

The mikalor clamps can be troublsome.
If you have a few mins to spare I would pull the hoses and wipe the inside of each hose end and the pipe it conects to with a solvent of some sort to make sure they are clean and dry. Thinners or petrol will do.
Then re fit and see what happens if you want to retain the look of the Mik clamps. If they still weep then you could dry them again and smear some LSX inside the hose ends before re clamping, If this is still no good then bite the bullit and fit jubilee style hose clamps.

There are t-bolt style clamps that can be used, but the common ones most people buy from Mikalor are just wrong for the application they use them for.
Even then, when you are using the correct style of t-bolt clamp, really it's for high pressure industrial stuff anyway.
Absolutely no need whatsoever on a car.
