I'm currently thinking of swapping out my shortened SD1 axle for an original MGB, but I don't want to run drun brakes. Has anyone converted such an axle to disc brakes, if so what did you use?

Thanks - must get round to fitting them to the actual car. No garage - so want a few days guaranteed good weather. Never happened last year.

Hi Dave,
When you do fit them, switch the bleed nipple to the top outlet to assist bleeding.
They were probably oriented at 1 o'clock not 3 o'clock on the original car.

Looks good, what calipers are they and what diameter/thickness disc are you running?

Sierra Cosworth/ Scorpio. Discs are 21mm.

They're the sierra 4x4 ones right, as the 2WD ones aren't vented?

Don't supposed you have a template for that bracket do you? Is that 10mm steel plate?

I was gonna weld something on like my current axle, but that looks a lot better.
