I'm not sure this is what you're after but I had similar issues so I used a single wiper on a direct drive motor and mounted it on the roof panel just behind the cage cross bar at the top of the windscreen...

Gives a pretty good schematic

I'm not quite sure why being tube framed should present any problems, but here's mine, sort of tube framed. :D

Motor/spindles are Range Rover, as I wanted real wipers, that worked, with a full sweep and real blades etc. I can shorten the connecting pipes to suit, flare the ends with a brake pipe flare tool. It is also two speed, self parking, if I can sort the wiring diagram......

Most people in the kit car world use the old mini/ land rover motor and wheel boxes, looks very similar (probabbly the same) to the range rover one pictured.

Very adaptable, again with 2 speeds and park. Also reversable, LHD or RHD. and width of wheel boxes is easy to change with micro bore copper pipe and brake flaring tool

Correct

Main supplier for kit cars is S-V-C
Speak to them and they have all the bits to increase or dectease the sweep etc.

really helpful crowd - link above should help
