Rivnut tool.

I have a requirement to use M3 rivnuts. They must be this size - larger won't do.

Most rivnut tools I've seen can be used with a variety of mandrels for different sizes of rivnuts - and tend to be large enough to give the necessary force to set the largest ones. So all too easy to snap an M3 mandrel.

So does anyone know of one specifically designed for this small size?

M4 tends to be the smallest the universal ones use, and I've not had a problem with those.

One which used a cheap to replace M3 mandrel - like say a standard socket head high tensile screw - would be better still. Which would cost pennies if sheared as opposed to pounds for most custom mandrels.

Use Aluminium rivnuts - they strip out way before the mandrel
