Hi from Prague

HI, Hugo here.

I'm based in Prague. Not exactly new to the V8 but I've never had one fully to bits before. In the family collection back in the UK we've had an original factory 'B GT V8 since 1977, now running with a 4.0 bottom end and there's a 4.6 P38. The original MG 3.5 block and one other are sat on the shelf awaiting the time and funds to get round to rebuilding. The spare 3.5 block is destined to go into a Riley 9 Monaco chassis if all the planets align.

I'm about to embark on my first full exploration of the insides of one of these lumps. Here is the object in question:

That is (what's left of) a 3.9 of unknown provenance and a 1975 Lightweight Land Rover. The plan is to strip it all the way down, see what state it is in and, if it is not completely knackered, rebuild with SU's and put back into the Lightweight. The whole project, including Lightweight rebuild, is probably going to take a year or several if I'm honest.
