Big hello to all fellow V8 enthusiasts.I've owned a 2007 Monaro VXR for close on 11 years and have done the odd track day now and again.Mechanically the has very little on it which is standard.Considerable amount of Pedders/Harrop bits on it ,including a recent new crate engine LS7 with a modified cam fitted. It's quite nippy now !.I'm looking forward to the possible me ups during 2018.I'm based in the Wirral so I'm interested to bump into any local V8 owners.

I'll make the obligatory demand for photos :) Welcome. Do you still have the engine you took out by any chance?......

Hi,I sold the LS2 to the workshop who did the engine swap and they have subsequently ceased trading(unfortunately!).I couldn't quite make out the car pictured,is it a TVR?.Has your car got a V8 fitted already. Are you looking for any particular V8?.Thanks!.

Sort of :) It's a Fisher Fury with a 4.3 V8 from a TVR Griffith (a few more details here https://www.v8forum.co.uk/forum/app.php/garage/120) I'm always toying with the idea of putting an LSx in it but never have the courage/money for it :)

This thread is meant to be about you, not me :) I bought the car second hand about 9.5 years ago. The SD1 supplied a 3.5, but that was boring, so a few years ago I saw a 4.3 for sale. I stripped it down and rebuilt it with fantastic advice from here and https://www.locostbuilders.co.uk. I'd never done anything like it before. As engines go, the RV8 is pretty simple and forgiving to work on. Some photos here https://goo.gl/photos/D2idtCHGzdPvVPBt6
