If you were in the US, I could give you the names of about 1800
Mom and Pop shops that do custom embroidery/screen printing...
I work for the best supplier in the business here...

I have two friends who have business who do print, embroidery, transfers etc on fabrics.

They both do a lot of the of work for the Scottish tourist industry, Scottish Rugby union and they also do one offs or what ever anybody needs.

Heres a link to one of they're websites, have a look and see what you think and if you want you can either contact them direct or let me know what you want and I will get you you a price.

What I'm getting at is, there must be someone who does this stuff
in your country, the US can't possibly be the only place on earth that
have people filling this type of need...

Just googled this place:
http://www.armstronguk.com/default.asp

min order qty is 1, but its pricey - even if you select 2 or 3 items the price comes down significantly.

The Mrs has a sewing machine that can do embroidery etc.

It would require a Jpeg of the logo to be digitised (about £25) then it culd be done on flat maerials (Shirt / sweatshirt / towel / race overalls (perhaps that would invalidate fire rating) etc) - she does not have a hat attachment (yet)

Obviously prices thereafter would be based on the intricasy of the design the number of colour changes, size etc but for a small quantity this could be a cheap route!

Note she is not a commercial embroiderer just mainly does it on dance costumes for the nipper.

Cheers mate that is handy to know,
i think we are looking at a single colour logo (when we finally decide on one)
I have mailed a few companies as per this post and for 20 shirts with embroidered logo and embroidered text web site name
comes out at £180,
so we need to deceide on a logo and what else we want, just a logo, logo and text, logo text and your name,

My preference for the logo would have the V8 part in the same font that Rover used on their V8 chrome badges. The kind of fat font. Not sure how it could be make 'lectronic though.
