V8 rover 3.5 or 3.9

Help i have got a mazda rx7 with a v8 rover in it a friend says its a 3.5 but my brother thinks it might be a 3.9, is there a simple way of telling, the only numbers i can read by the header/ manifold n/side are 39A01348 again raising the point that the 39A might be 3.9 anybody know? cheers in advance.
