sierra p100 pick up v8

hi just want some advice on fitting a rover 4.2 v8 yes 4,2 it came out of lwb range rover lse want to use a t5 gearbox anybody out there with some good advice thanks all advice very welcome and needed!!!!

Easiest and cheapest option would be to use either an LT77 or R380 gearbox.

4.2 is no different size wise or fitting wise from any other Rover V8 and loads have been fitted to Sierras, you can even buy kits to fit them if you want the easy way. There are threads either here or on the old forum with some details. In short though you will need to make new engine mounts and you will need to change the sump to fit the front cross member. Most of the time this is done by cutting out the front of the sump and adding the capacity in the back usually with wings. Spacers are needed as well on the role bar to drop it down to clear the bellhousing.

thanks heard about the sump not about spacers on roll bar good point time to get the grinder out i think!!
