Hi
I have a 1962 Humber Hawk,I have purchased a rover v8 with carbs to put in it -I would like to keep the original gearbox and column change.using a conversion plate
has anyone done this or should I go with the lt77 5 speed box
rover v8 into humber hawk

If Humber fitted a stronger box to the larger engined car, I'd want to know if your Hawk one will stand the torque from the RV8. No point in making a conversion plate if the box isn't up to it?dodger444 wrote:it's not the same box as a snipe -
I'd guess the RV8 produces near double the peak torque of a late Hawk.
Think I've seen a Hawk with a RV8 at a show. If someone has done it before, they'll likely know the pitfalls.
