Hi

I want to replace my 3.5 with a 4.6.
I'll be using an Edelbrock carb and manifold, EDIS-8 etc. for ignition.

Will a BW65 autobox from my 3.5 bolt on to a 4.6 without mods?

If not which autobox should I use for 2 wheel drive?

The bolt pattern on the Rover V8 never changed, so any box will fit any engine.

The 4.6 Range Rover used a ZF 4HP box - so four speed rather than 3. It can be converted to RWD by using bits from a Jag etc version. Or find the rare Sherpa V8 ambulance version which is already RWD. But it is larger than the BW box.
