Hey Guys,

I bought a V8 Datsun project last year and right now, I need to figure out where to connect the vacuum ports that are still loose in the engine bay...

The engine is running, but I think it might be cool to have a good vacuum job done. The problem is I don't know this engine a lot so I need a little help.

So here is a few pictures to let you see what is missing. If you have any question, feel free to ask.

I hope I am going to get some help. The best would be a quick draw right on one of my picture to show me how to connect the vacuum ports

Engine Info:

V8 307 vin Y 5L from a Oldsmobile with 4bbl Rochester Quadrajet carburetor (something like or similar to a 4mv)

Oh, also note that there seems to be no Vacuum Canister, but as I said, I don't know this engine a lot, so maybe I don't even need one (or maybe yes?!?! )

Anyway, thanks a lot

I'm no expert on these engines or vacuum line lay outs but a quick Google brings up this, basically your engine with the taller block to give 455

You will have to join the forum to see the pictures.
From what I understand the vacuum cannistar only holds "extra" vacuum to help smooth out the pulses from the engine ... ;)
