RV8 and Sierra rear end

For how long would the latter cope with the former?

Depends.

What stage of tune RV8 are we looking at here? What Sierra rear end?

Depends which rear end and what state of tune. A cosworth one will hold up very well and is limited slip. It also has the larger drive shaft. Next up would be the 2.9 which is smaller but still limited slip. Should do ok though if your not going bonkers.

Thanks - that's pretty much what I was expecting.

TVR used the Sierra/Granada axles for the griffith and chimaera with uprated salisbury diff.

LSD was only an option, even on the 5-litre cars.

Try and get one of these from a TVR breaker such as TVRDEAN or Douglas Valley.

My mate has a 600 BHP Chevy lump in a Cobra replica, the rear end is Granada based, not even Cosi based and that lot is holding together. The car is light which does help though, basically it will wheel spin at 90 MPH in the dry!
