I've a feeling the SD1 club approached them for club discount and got nowhere. In the days when it had about 2000 members.

I must admit, it is hard trying to get companies to give us discount

I often find that discount can be given as long as I advertise the supplier on my car.
I do stipulate that I will only advertise for one calender year though
Whats the benefit for a supplier giving say 10% off if he doesnt get some recognition in the public domain??
Free advertising and public customer testimonials are what these suppliers want
