Is the above list the running order?
I'm pretty busy, but if I'm able to wonder down at rough time and get straight on, it would be very handy. As I just want to do a power run, have a cuppa and get back home to carry on with fixing the dakar.

Another brilliant day, well done to the organisers!!!!

Slghtly deaf, but much fun had :)

Van made less power than expected, but has shown that the vacuum secondaries do not open quick enough (and they are already fitted with quite a weak spring)

Can see where the torque curve flattens off, then as the manifold vacuum builds it starts to climb again.

As per Perry's suggestion, think i will be looking into a Holley double pumper carb.

cheers

It was a reet laff today eh Stu??

Eliots car is really cool :)

Stuballs Van is just like something out of Van Nuys Boulevard..look it up :)

I never made a full pass due to the fuelling being a bit al over the gaff. The closest I got was a run aborted after a few seconds on gas running rich as hell. Just missed 400hp so I'm happy as I was running 40hp less gas than before for the same figure :D

The nasp fuelling was almost spot on with it leaning out just a tad on wide open throttle, but not enough to worry about. Bigger jets for the next test.

The bigger tyres posed a bit of a problem as the car was strapped down beyond the nortmal squat point on a launch and one of my tyres scuffed. So I had to take the wheel off and grind another inch out of the inner wing lip.

Cars today ranged from the 1950's to present day.

On my graph it only went up to 5580 RPM, wheras it will will rev up to about 6400 before hitting the first rev limiter.
Then noticed that it hit 155mph  - so it actually hit the speed limiter, not the rev limiter. It had another 1000rpm to give.
We got 418BHP though, which I think it pretty much what it books at. Car is bone stock.

Next time I will disable the speed limiter.

Has any one put a daimler 2.5 V8 into one of those little TDs yet? Now that would get the patches pulled off your cardigan if anything ever did!

You are most welcome Mike.
I love these days out at Martins :)

Hard to imagine that little MG T was nearly 60 years old eh!
Did you see the SU's on it???

I want a van like Stu's now!!
I want some flares and an afro wig, and I want the theme tune from shaft blasting out of the windowes when I rock up to another gig :)

I also thought how my MGB would look in that purple ish / silver fade combo??
