Rolling road day in Bletchley / Milton keynes

Post by mgbv8 »

I'm talking to my chum at Marlin Motors in bletchley about a second dyno day at his place for 2008.

I did one last year with 6 other MG's and it was a good event. We got to do about 4 runs each in a very relaxed atmosphere. We would do a run then get off to do some tweaking before our next go. Martin lays on all the Tea, Coffee and bacon butties you can eat for the day.

We all paid about 40 quid for the day and although he was ok to stay on, after 4 runs each we had done enough.

I'm organising this mainly on the MG forum but for any cars. I'll probably get 5 or 6 from the MGOC so there will be at least 9 or 10 places going spare for a good day. Martin does car club dyno days quite a lot and he often see's up to 30 motors turning up. But the more that turn up, the less goes you can have.

I recklon around 15 is a good number. No date set yet. I'm thinking of July, August or maybe early September. I'll take a poll of responses before I make a booking though.

Martins Dyno is one of these extendable things with rollers front and back.
So I assume its 4WD.
I'll ask.

Please do. Will open the field up a bit more if it is 4WD.

4wd 1000BHP according to his site

But I need the blower to be much higher up to get any air into my dakar..

Never realised that there was a 4wd 'road round MK - might have to take a wonder over there sooner rather than later....
