The TR7 SHOULD run a 10 off gas or pretty close to it Tricky!!!

I've now seen how she performs mate. That engine build of yours is just too much for those small slicks mate. Your Rover V8 engine picks up and revs like a motorbike engine. You need to damp out that quick response with bigger rear slicks so you can make better use of that high revving power and convert it into more mph so you can make a better charge after the 1/8th mile marker!

Just need to get some different tyres on the back end and fit those coil spring bump stops fitted mate.

If we can use simple stuff to limit body roll and keep the front left wheel on the ground I think we should be there Dude!!

And we need to sort out the line lock issue so we can do a decent burnout too??

Hi Perry

Engine is so on song :D at last ,,that new exhaust has made loads of difference in the way she revs :D
I think your right about the mods to rear suspension and different tyres

Ive been out on the road with her and cant keep her in a straight line when i put the power down she just goes side ways :D :P so am going to fab up a rear panard rod to sort that out

Who ever said Rovers V8s are Crap
I remember Will at PPC magazine got that one wrong didn't he :D

They worked fine all weekend, but will change them over the winter rebuild, will still bolt the engine in soild not worried about vibration just want the engine to stay there
Loads i want to change inc gearbox my Lt77 gearbox they are only lasting 1 event

Tricky!!

11.58 at 123.18 mph going through the line in 5th
60ft 1.8
330ft 5.04
1/8 7.59.........................This should be 6.9 to 7 seconds.
1/8 86.35 mph................This should be 100mph +
1000 ft et 9.689
1/4 11.58 at 123 mph....Then this will be 10.99 @ 126 mph I reckon

I reckon you lost nearly a second with bad traction launches and running out of gears with those small rear tyres!!

If you dont believe me, check out the slow mo vids of the TR7 mate :)

And when the tyres hooked a little this happened:)

You guys are gonna pan me for this, but here goes... what time did the Clio cup run in the nearside lane?

I only ask out of interest because a cup172 is my daily hack and has served me well for 6 years but i've never raced it.

Perry got a whatts linkage from a SD1 off Bones today all ready got diff cover it fits to so only need to fab up some chassis brackets
should help to keep axle in a straight line she runs very loose on back end at mo

cracked the paste and copy at thing at last
