New NA PB. NO nitrous.

Post by dbv8 »

I met up with a few fellow TVR owners at Shakey this weekend.
We had a covering of snow on Saturday morning and the track remained very cold. On Sunday it was as though we fast forwarded a couple of months. The sun came out, the track warmed up and i even got suburnt.

A friend of mine has a 377bhp 5.5 ltr in his TVR Chimaera and has run 12.0 at Shakey last year. He was back again this year trying MT radials to get into the 11's. Problem was he could only stay Saturday so it never happened and ran 12.3.

My times wer getting better all day Sunday and the last tun i gave it a big burnout and a lot of revs dumping the clutch at launch for a 1.76 to 60 foot.
Eigth cam up in 7.666 at 91.22
The quarter was 11.947 at 114.58

Over the moon with that!

Nice result.

Is Shakey busy these days ? Or even the Pod ?

Hoping to get to one or the other in the next couple of months...whichever might be least busy ! lol

It was busy. The sun was out and a faif crowd turned up. They have the 'gamblers' bracket racing on a Sunday RWYB now and that seems to have a following. There were also a fair amount of bikes. The fire up road was full most of the day.
I think you could have got 8-10 runs if you wanted to easy enough though.

Not sure how the pod is i dont go that often.
I prefer York for the set up, general craic and track time though.

That's the question.
The engine is now at 11:1 CR.
How much nitrous is acceptable do we think?
