Just as well you never made the effort Stevie. I left Dundee in sunshine, but over in Fife the roads just got wetter the closer to Crail I got. The strip itself was very damp and in particular the start line. I waited around 2 hours to see if it would dry, but no chance. Only cars making a reasonable go of it were the usual Audi RS's. So that's it for the year as there was no way I'd attempt a pass in less than bone dry. I tried a very slight blip of the throttle in the car park and it just spun immediately as i'd thought it would.

Last event is in 2 weeks is it not ? That's the one I was hoping for.

We made it over last year, although weather again wasnt so nice. Dry for early part of day, but rained around lunch. Always a risk though

Runner up for the second year in the RWD category at Crail raceway. Just pipped by a bumper width by the ariel atom I've beaten 5 times before.

I think I'll be fitting a Nitrous Outlet kit next year to give it a bit of a boost. Not paying the prices here, but will pick it up on our Florida hols next May.
A 100 shot should see low 11's.

Think you need to look at your 60ft times first. A 1/10 or two off that will get you into the 11's without the need for more power. Bigger / better rubber might be a better investment than a nitrous kit.

For Crail, those are good.

Same with most un-touched old airfields or even basic roads. The surface doesnt lend itself well to traction !

And whilst yes bigger/better rubber should always help, often it's not practical or maybe he's already using biggest.best for his chassis/use

And lets face it...who was ever unhappy with more power ? lol

Car has plenty grip, but is high geared. I know either a high stall converter or lower gearing would help, as would a cam etc, but I'm not wanting to pull the engine or muck around with the pcm as it would need retuned after mods. Nitrous seems the easiest option for me at present. I don't think the car has been beaten off the line so far, and Crail isn't the best track, but all we've got here. I know it would more than likely get 11's at the pod, but that's not the point.
Tyres are Mickey Thomson sportsmans S/R 12 x 26 x15
