New PB for the MGB on boost only

Post by mgbv8 »

I've been titting around with setting up the new low comp engine build on boost only. Today she pulled a 10.7 at 126mph on just 11 psi of boost :)

Previous PB was 10.2 seconds at 131mph with 13psi and a 150 shot of gas !

Previous PB on boost only on the old engine was 11.7 seconds. So its looking like this new build could be on target for a flat 10 or a high 9 second pass this year 8)

Well done mate. Guess you've sorted the fuelling issue you had two weeks ago.

Now come's the interesting part, finding out how much boost equals low 10's or might even get you high 9's.

It was nice to see you again.

It was good to chat to you again JP. Its a shame you wont be over for Retro Show !

Even though I have lowered the CR. I'm still running normal ign advance.
I got the AFR sorted and ran 10.9 and then added 2 degee's of timing to run 32 degree's of max advance and she improved to 10.7 seconds.

I think I have more scope to advance the timing or add nitrous or a combo of both to make peak power. Wont have time for the dyno until after Dragstalgia in july so I'm experimenting with gear shift points.
