New 0-60 pb

Post by dbv8 »

:D
They had a 0-60 mph camera in the right hand lane at York yesterday.
I was hoping for 3.7 but ran 3.63 twice so it wasnt even a fluke.
Looking forward to getting my nitrons fitted and seeing what will happen at Santa pod on Nov 1st.

Not had achance to try yet Pel.
They only rig the 0-60 camera up at specific events at York.
I think the 18th is one of these but i dont think i can afford to go at the moment.

I want to be at Shakey on 1st/2nd RWYB to meet up with some TVRs. Do you fancy bringing the MG along?
Or are you just a Santa Pod junkie?

how does that equate to 60 ft times, I have run a 1.58 60ft, and talking to some very well informed drag racers, they seem to think the 0-60 times should be around mid to high 3s, ????

1.58
Thats an excellent launch.
I would think more like low 3's. What is your 1/8th time and speed?

I only run mid 1.8's to 60 foot.
Worth noting that the 60 mph camera only records from breaking the timing beam so you do get a slight run up if you shallow stage.

Also I have used 'dynoliscious' on the I-phone and once you set it up and use it properly it gives suprisingly comparable results.

I do think the is an 11 in my car if I could get some decent ratios in my gearbox, hit 3rd, it feels like 5th,
1/8th times, I will have to look, obviously you are making a lot more power that me going by your terminals,

The Chimaera is only 1060kg + another 90ish for me.

It ran 13.0 @ 107 with 273 bhp 2 years ago.
It now has 308 bhp and ran 12.4 @ 111 at the last meeting at York.

I havent tried the gas yet this year but i did see 125mph once with 150 shot running 11.6.

Why dont a few of us try a meet up at York this summer for a proper timed 0-60 run ?? Pod is good but 0-60 is all sums and not a proper camera,

They got any RWYB in August??
