we have now gone with a hybrid bearing/carrier,
as after lots of reading on clutches and transmissions etc they all state rounded finger clutch covers MUST use flat faced bearings only,
and not the domed one as in most rovers etc,
so watch this space to see if our hybrid set up works :)

which clutch did you go for mate? the RST?

rad fans fitted and wired back up,
power steering bottle refitted,
TPS fitted and wired back in (broke the original one)
Supercharger oil system bled,
Starter motor wired up,

whats left??
fill and bleed oil system on engine,

get the manifolds rewelded with the new down pipes, OR I fit a bolt up flange to the manifolds/downpipes instead of them being all in one,

had a few issues since posting last, fuel lines decided to say f**k it and leak every where so had to invest in some new fuel line and fittings.

BUT after a 2yr project with Allan (Rossco) today was a little special for the both of us, :D
we have life, a brief run to check for leaks ready for the cam bed in,
the smoke is from the paint off the manifolds ,

fuel is supposed to be in the lines ! lol Not coming through it.

It isnt the first time I've heard of people having that same issue with that type of hose, and almost sure it isnt related to one particular brand.

Both Torques and Goodridge have been mentioned

it isnt a type of hose I've ever used though. IMO either go for a more normal type of rubber hose or teflon.

That rubber with stainless overbraid does seem to be trouble.
