While the car's away for paint I thought I would sort out the bonnet hinges, they're a pain to paint as the paint gets scratched off when they open and close.
Chrome is nice but it will never get between the two halves so I stripped them down and photographed them for the chrome platers.
After some cleaning up and the hinges pin holes machined out to one size for both parts.
Back from being triple plated.
Needed new hinge pins so I went into work today and made a pair out of stainless steel.
Polished it up a bit and need to have a way of holding it when tightening, so knocked up an electrode on the CNC mill.
Setting up on the spark eroder
Quick vid of sparker in action for those who are interested in engineering stuff, you might have to scroll down to see the vid !

Assembled with copper grease
Just need a car to fit them to now!

Fixed up the front cross member as the underside was battered.
Plug welded and seam welded followed by powder coating.
