Hi Rich, sorry only just seen the thread updated, Mike has said everything I would have said myself, the diagonals are a must, I imagine a single rear diagonal in a cage could make it 10 times stronger with ease, in a drag motor you dont have to worry about the weight being a little higher anywhere near as much you would have to in a circuit racer, so for your safety I wouldn't even think about it.
Door bars have got to be done too really, have you also put floor bars in by the sills in the door openings? Even if you use 18g or something thin they are much better than nothing, and scrutineers will be much happier and might spend less time routing around everywhere else if they see plenty of tubing in the right places!

It has got door bars in ,but they are lower down than usual, sought of seat height,as i got a dodgy back and cant move as good to clamber over the normal height ones. , I will get a pic when i get home and put up. rich
