Well ...
I finally started to shoe horn my rover v8 into my Humber last weekend . Got the engine bay stripped and primed and offered the engine in it seems the mounts will have to go and the tunnel needs to be trimmed a tad but no turning back now I've got pictures to put on but will have to do it later
I know that this has been done before with the hill man hut er but does anyone know or have any pictures of the car that has been done . It would be a great help if you could help out
Regards Dave

You have to put the pics elsewhere (flickr etc.), then link them from here. There's no photos hosted on this forum.

The Black engine bay works with the colour of the car and shows the engine really well :)

Very nice !!

Hi Perry
thanks for that it was going to be the same as the car but my local Plymouth paint shop let me down so black it is but I'm glad really because it makes the shiny bits stand out

Hi all took the car for a dyno run at RAWSPEED Plymouth he did a great job and got 133 at the wheels I'm well pleased with it but the only problem is I've been bitten by the v8 bug and I need more HP ha ha so watch this space I was just wondering how much hp can you get out of the engine without going over the top ????

I'd say to be careful not to aim for BHP at the expense of low speed flexibility. These engines never make headline BHP figures anyway - even when spending lots of money. But can pull like a train from idle to the red line. About 220 bhp is possible with a bit of head work while retaining that low speed grunt.

Hi Dave that would be nice I'd be happy with over 200 you say head work is that port and polished and flow tested I put a 3.9 cam in her when I rebuilt her I would like to put proper headers on it but I got much room on the drivers side shame because that would be easy hp
