I nearly clipped the wall in 2nd gear. Shes making good power, even with the silly big tyres on the back. But it was too dangerous to continue after 4 attempts.
I crept off the line each time. But as soon as I stuck a bit of gas on she broke loose.

Other lane was no better. This time I nearly crossed the line as the back end flicked out.

It wasnt fun Coops!
Its the first time I'm been genuinely worried about getting off the track in one piece.
So much so, that I ordered the rest of the roll cage this afternoon. I'm not going out again until I've got at least a basic FIA cage around me.
The twin roll hoops up the back would not be enough these days.
The vids still look tame. But it was a wild ride from inside.

What!!
Richards old Bimmer??
He was wetting himself that he finished 1st to be honest
We have just added nitrous to the 840 and those were some of his first test runs.
I would love one of those on the drive as the weekend hack instead of the Omega I must say.

The rest of the roll cage kit arrived on Friday. Along with a 4 point harness and a sparco seat that I can actually fit my fat ass into. The harness and seat were donated by a mate.
The cage is a new FIA spec bolt in kit.

Perry,
I'm familiar with the expression lighting up the rear tyres but looks like your trying for both ends
