Hopefully mine will sound something like that- with a big whistle as well- I'm already nervous about starting mine up after spending months on it and all my spare change :?

Well done!

Know idea how fast it will be but I can tell you the spec:

MCT cast block 4.6 (2005)
Stage III heads, from memory 1.63" and 1.40" valves, gas flowed, chambers matched to 28.5cc.
Piper 285i cam (i has higer lift, I think it was 477 thous)
Rhoads lifters
HD hollow adjustable push rods
231cc/min purple injectors
ACT carbon fibre plenum chamber
XJ6 72mm diameter throttle body
Megasquirt ECU
EDIS8 ignition
JP custom stainless steel exhausts with camcoat triple coat. Headers are 4-1, massive collector into y pipe then into centre box and then back out into two separate rear boxes.
Techedge wideband lambda sensor with controller and connected to megasquirt for closed loop mode.

R380 2WD transmission
3.36 LSD 7.5" ford cosworth diff
Lightened steel flywheel from DJE, 18.5lbs.
ARP bolts for flywheel amd head.
Composite gasket.

Anyone care to take a guess on BHP, torque, performance?

That sounds Sweeeet!!!!!!

I reckon you will use the first couple of days out learning how to keep it pointing forward :)

You are only down the road from me Adam. I'm in Buckingham.
Feel free to pop over for a cuppa sometime if you fancy a test run mate.

Cheers mate. I haven't even checked the static timing yet! Trigger wheel installed on damper and a new VR bracket fabricated for the serpentine type cover. I know the VR position would be 10 degrees to start with. This was adjusted in megasquirt.

I'll take you up on your offer for a cuppa when its on the road mate. :D
Likewise you're welcome round mine if you want to take a look.

Sounds good to me!
Any excuse for a cuppa and a natter eh?

I've just got mine started too. Not sure the neighbours are too happy with my 4.6 on open pipes. But I did shut the garage door.

Another one born. Super. Wow, that must have been a bit loud.

Better get a tea urn and warn the neighbours that the V8 version of hells angels are going to descend on the small sleepy town ;-)
