I thought it would be a good idea if stickers were made available for the forum, not sure of the design though. To be made available to members for a nominal fee. What do you guys think? good idea or not?

Gents

I likewise think this is a good idea BUT this stuff costs and someone needs to stock it and be prepared to do the mailing it out bit and collect the £££.

We do stuff like this at the Gt40 Enthusiasts club and managed to make a couple of hundred quid in a year that to a membership of about 400 (that included one off shirts for Le mans classic £16 for the T shirt, £20 for the Polo etc. but good quality that does not loose shape in the wash)

I would expect a budget of between £500 and £1000 to hold stock of say white T shirts and caps - go into coloured stuff and you never have the right colour in the right size!

Remember each colour printed costs extra - likewise each shirt area printed (sleave / pocket / back) is a seperate print. They add up quickly to get a professional looking shirt. Iron on transfers are cheaper but make you sweat and peal in the wash.

And when printing think who may wear it - if female the printing should be on the front and if male the printing on the back - promise it works and you will sell more! (Blokes look at bird's fronts and birds look at a manly set of shoulders

That said I'd partake in any stuff on offer!

If print is one colour you can use a transfer called flexi which last a very long time and can go on any fabric. Its almost rubber like.

There is also a version of flexi (flock) which can reproduce full colour pictures.

Can go down the screen printing root but that gets a bit more expensive.

Or there is embroidery, always looks good polo shirt or sweat shirt.

If we use the flexi I can get very short runs done at low cost.

I had a few t-shirts done two years ago and wear them regular and the colour is still pretty sharp.

I'll check into mugs, pens and any other request for items.

Forgot to say the guys I use supply places like St Andrews Golf Course, the tourist shops in most of the palaces and castles in Scotland along with most of the airport tourist shops.

They are good at what they do and wont put out duff gear unless you ask for the cheap stuff.

Initially if people want a few items I'm happy to organise and post.

I have a contact for embroidered polo shirts. The design needs to be fairly simple obviously but they are good quality and very nicely embroidered.
