Has anyone got a basic wiring diagram, to set up a rover v8 on a test bed/frame that I am building any help would be appreciated, thanks David

More info needed - carbs, fuel injection?, points, ignition amplifier?

It’s just bog standard carb and points dizzy set up , no fuel injection , nothing fancy,

That's dead easy!, you just need to wire the coil to the distributor as per the factory wiring diagram, then put a +12V supply on the coil positive terminal.
Ensure fuel supply (power to electric pump).
Crank the engine, and away you go!
To stop it, remove the +12V from coil positive.
DON'T FORGET AN EARTH CONNECTION FROM ENGINE BACK TO BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL.
