Post by bennyboy79 »

Hi,

can anyone recommend somewhere i can take my V8 EFI cobra to get some engine work done in the Sussex area? after some nightmares in the past, I only ant to take it to a garage where they know what they are talking about when it comes to V8s

The RV8 engine is a pretty simple device than any half decent mechanic should be OK with.

That's much more of a problem. :D

If you don't get an answer here, I'd look around and ask local friends about a decent specialist 'new' car workshop - like BMW, etc. And ask their foreman or whoever who they might recommend. They'd not be talking work from themselves, and may well be well up on the best of the local motor trade - or know who to avoid.

There is a Land Rover specialist in Dunsfold. I was recommended to go to them some years ago but never did.

As Dave said, what specialisation do you need? It's all standard unless you need the EFI re-programming. If so, there's a rolling road that does them in Crawley but that's expensive (like cheaper to swap from Hotwire to another ECU as it's £500 a session).
