'NEWS FLASH' V8 Performance Parts New Shop Coming Soon....

Post by Coops »

Hi Everyone have some exciting news to tell you all,

Allan (Rossco) and myself (Coops) in the next few months will be opening an online performance shop for Rover v8 users, we may expand later to cover other v8 models if things take off and we get enough interest,
We have secured a dealership with T.A Performance products. We'll be importing their performance parts along with maybe a few others company products,

Is there anything particular you would like us to sell here in the UK?

the domain www.v8performanceparts.co.uk is now registered to us and we are hoping the new shop will run along side the forum very soon,
we will keep you informed of any news as things progress,
Regards Rossco & Coops,

Web site can be found here: http://www.v8performanceparts.co.uk/index.html

Hi Coops Rosco
well done chaps good idea

"Is there anything particular you would like us to sell here in the UK? "
Big block chevy 4.25" stroke forged crank
a set of 6.385" H beam rods
and a set of 4.375" pistons to match
a pair of serious flowing Brodix heads, these would do http://www.brodix.com/heads/big-block-c ... 0-series12
and a small selection of cams, with a good chunk of lift! it would save me a bucket of cash on freight!.!.!
:D :D :D
best regards

We're always happy to help with shipping.

As a rule I can bring about 300kg over for around £150

FFS !!!

I've just paid Summit Racing $53.00 to ship a part that cost $46.00 by their cheapest post option. So god knows when I'll see it ??

Their quickest shipping option for my $46 part was just under $100.00 WTF ?

Shipping is a horror story. The companies that you buy from will use whoever is closest and least hassles to contact and do the pick-ups for them. YOU are paying so it matters little to them how much it costs.
The moment you come into shipping your own stuff, then it becomes a mission and a paperwork nightmare with Customs etc, but it can be done cheaper than that.

QUICK = EXPENSIVE as a rule, though.
Cheers,
John

Hi
300 kg for £150 is very interesting indeed, where would I have to get stuff delivered to to take advantage of this?
Best regards

The expensive option from Sumit does include vat and duty though so it's one price to pay, their cheaper option means that you are at the mercy of the shipping co for not only the government charges but the shipping companies "handling" charges too. Normally I pay more when using the cheaper option than sumits dear price. Hope that makes sense. I used to have a 50/50 chance of paying no gov fees at all with couriers but that seems to have stopped now
