Recently when I log in, the flags in the Index for sections with unread posts are showing normally, but when I go to the relevant section the individual threads in the section don't have the flags indicating the presence of unread posts.

All I have done recently is an AV scan and I ran Malwarebytes with this snag showing up next time I logged in.

Clear the cookies for the site and maybe the browsing history. Sounds like the cookies are messed up.

Well, it is all as it says on the tin this morning, so all is good.
Maybe it just needed to be whinged about and it got it's act together..
