Maybe you could trim the exhaust tails back just a tad to make them a bit more subtle. Thats is a real sleeper !!!

Trim them back and paint them black with a slight slash cut downturn.
Then fit a 1" dummy pipe to one side with a harry moss chrome extender to make it look like a pants tuning mod

ive got a mk2 and im playing with the idea of putting a v8 in it but not the usual......... jaguar 4.0 supercharged v8 and use the s type box axle and diff would you recomend this idea and what hurdles did you have with yours many thanks mark

problems i had was space, exhaust manifolds were very tight and steering column had to be altered.
i am not familiar with that engine tho or how it drives, the rover v8 changed the way my car drove alot, it is so nice for just cruising around at a steady pace,
