That is very good.

Mind you, I can get 23mpg from my 4.6 Range Rover if driven sensibly, so perhaps the 4.6 is OK if you can keep your foot off the floor!

Chris.

Well it is April 2011 and my Rover has just passed the 239,000 Mile mark. It was pointed out to me (thanks Demetris) that that distance is further than travelling to the Moon.

I have also just purchased my first digital camera, so last Saturday I took some underbody photos, so here they are.

When I was taking the pics, I noted a tiny spot of coolant on one of the core plugs, so as a temp measure I have used some quick steel which is excellent stuff, and I'll have it changed at a later date.

I now have a video of my exhaust note. Be sure to turn your speakers up nice and loud... 8-)

Oh I fitted the brown panels while I do some work on mine.

Gotta love two things:
1. The instant startup on SU's, none of this fuel injection cranking, just glance at the key, and it's fired up.
2. The crackle on the overrun.

Nice car, sounds great too. Seeing less and less of these around so nice to see one in good condition. Had a 3.5s many years ago, loved it.

ROVER P6B

Post by miranda.stern »

I am doing some archive research for a new National Geographic car restoration series, being produced by Renegade Pictures. I noticed your collection of Rover P6B photos posted on the v8 forum, and wondered if you (or anyone else who sees this and is interested) would like them to feature in a celebration of the model and marque.

I am sorry to use the forum but it is for a programme made by real affectionandos! We are currently in the process of collecting an assortment of stills and footage of Rover P6B to feature in a montage section. Unfortunately we have no money allocated in the budget for archive, but I am looking into a full list of credits for all who contribute their personal collection, we would like to make a rich a celebration of model as possible and if you’d like to be a part of this then please let me know.
Alternatively if you can suggest another source who might be keen to contribute then that would be gratefully received.
Thank you for taking the time to consider my request and if you require any further information please do not hesitate to ask.

The following five videos were recorded on October 23, 2012.

I did three drive passes, each being recorded onto a separate video. There are differences with each one.

The next two videos will take you inside my Rover as we go for a drive. You can gain a feel for how it rides and sounds. All windows were closed save for the N/S front and O/S rear, both being open around 2 inches (5 cm).

Be sure to turn the volume on your speakers up so as to get a true representation of how my Rover sounds.
