The pas pump as been really noisy, almost certain its the bearing, i have a feeling its my fault having the belt to tight, anyway i have a pump ready to fit but tonight i thought one last drive before the pump comes off :-( i ended up having a great drive but close to home at the traffic light i notices smoke coming out from the bonet, back home, engine off, and the pump had managed to spray pas fluid over the manifold, hence the smoke :-(
THE QUESTION:
The fluid seems to be leaking from the union (High pressure out) on the pump, still a bit puzled how/iff the noisy bearing would cause it to push fluid out??????(i was giving it some) Hopfully ill get time to take the old pump off Tomorrow, is there anthing i should be looking out for? does the above sound norm? meaning noisy bearing then the leaking fluid..
Cheers
