Can anyone identify this pump?

Asking around I have been told the power steering pump on the SD1 V8 is the same as that on the 2.6 SD1.
As mine is leaking, I bought (ebay) what was stated to be a SD1 2.6 pump (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/330704214954? ... 1438.l2648)
which was in a cast housing. When I removed a clamping bolt and got to the pump, I saw that it used a groove around the pump as it's fixing, not bolts in the front as mine does.
If I could work out how to post a picture I would.
Question is, is this pump I bought as described, ie coming from a 2.6 SD1?, or maybe even it's a very early one, in which case my information was wrong. Whatever, it won't fit my V8.
I bought it very cheap and it's not worthwhile trying to return even if it was wrongly described, I'm just asking for future reference.
