3.5 with 150 jets?

Post by P100 V8 »

I'm currenty running 100 jets and was thinking of changing them to 150 is this wise? The engine is a standard 3.5 9.35 cr with a fast road cam on su's , I'm using a nos foggers on each carb and no controller lack of funds

I blew my head gaskets on my 4.6 with just a 115 BHP shot. My system is different to yours and I'm no expert when it comes to NOS so I'll watch this thread with interest!

Thats the sort of question only you can answer after running careful plug checks, as you go. If the engine is healthy and strong, fuel supply and spark strength are good then it should be possible.

I do know my 4.6 ran 150 shots many times without issue and dropped my 1/4 from 13.0@107 to 11.6@125.

Do you mean 100hp rated jets? I guess these are NOS flare jets yes?

Do you have a bottle heater so you can maintain stable nitrous pressure?

Are you happy that there is enough fuel available for the system?

How much ignition timing do you take out for the 100 shot?

Can you give us the numbers marked on the jets. Fuel and nitrous?

How long have you been running this system?
